We’re now through NFL Week 2 of the 2021 season, and like most years, I’m left wondering if I’ll ever know what’s going on. Not really, but I still have trouble wrapping my head around how different teams can be from week to week.
I’m going to tell you a story about a lil’ chunky girl and her thigh glide, but before I do, let’s see where the betting numbers stand for NFL Week 2.
NFL Week 2 Betting Report
According to the sports betting results for last week from our friends over at the Sports Betting Dime, things were pretty even. However, a deeper look at the numbers show some interesting NFL Week 2 trends.
Favorites were 7-9 against the spread, with 5 dogs that won outright (Carolina, Vegas, Tennessee, Dallas and Baltimore). 3 of the 5 were kickoffs after the 4 PM ET schedule (6 games).
The totals were split 8-8, which looks very average. But it wasn’t. The OVER was 5-1 in the same games that started after 4 PM ET. With the Thursday nighter going OVER, this means that 7 out of 9 early Sunday games when UNDER the total.
I’ll be keeping an eye on this trend as the season progresses. It may be nothing more than an anomaly, but if it continues, it could affect my strategy.
NFL Week 2 Recap
The Carolina Panthers
How good does Matt Rhule have the Carolina Panthers playing in the first two weeks? After making the playoffs under Ron Rivera for 4 out of 5 years between 2013 & 2017, a 5-11 season in 2019 was the end for Rivera.
They brought in Rhule, who also went 5-11 in his first season in 2020. He’s now made enough changes that we can call it his team. And what a job he has done!
In 2019, the Panthers had a point differential of -130. Last year, Rhule helped improve that to -52. This year, at 2-0 through 2 weeks, their differential is +24.
Their defensive unit plays a quick and smooth game. I’m a Saints fan, so I (unfortunately) watched that game on Sunday. You have to put a little into the Saints being without 7 coaches, center Erik McCoy, and two DBs (Lattimore & Gardner-Johnson), it was never going to come easy.

Panther Domination in NFL Week 2
But you cannot take anything away from the Panthers. They swarmed Jameis Winston all game, and had Winston looking like his Tampa version. Carolina dominated both sides of the ball in the first half, taking a 17-0 lead into the break. And it could / should have been much worse.
They totally shut down Kamara, who finished with only 5 yards on 8 carries. He did chip in 25 yards on 5 catches, but nothing like we’d expect from the centerpiece of the offense.
Check out these key game stats if you want to know how dominant the Panthers were.
Carolina: Total Yards: 383 | 1st Downs: 28 | TOP: 38:32
New Orleans: Total Yards: 128 | 1st Downs: 6 | TOP: 21:28
There are so many names on defense to mention. I really like Brian Burns and Shaq Thompson. Burns showed up last season, and he’s continuing his rise this season. With other names like Chinn and Reddick, this is a unit to watch. If they can get CB Jaycee Horn, the 8th pick in the 2021 draft going, they’re going to be dangerous.

Thigh Glide to the Rescue
It’s been rumored that I’m a bit of a womanizer. But the truth is, even I go through some slumps, with nothing more than self love.
I’ve recently been in one of those slumps, so, you take what you can.
The lovely thing about Costa Rica is you have the most beautiful local girls, the women of the night, but there’s also a near unlimited supply of tourists coming through. Sure COVID has slowed that down some, but we’re picking back up.
Anyways, I digress.
There was a PYT eyeing up your boy over the weekend. She was built more for power than speed, but like a friend once said about banging a fat chick: you’ll get a good BJ and a pizza too.
She was staying close to where we were having some drinks, so she invited me back to her room. We’re having some drinks, laughs, start to play around and over her should I see it sitting on the nightstand – Thigh Glide > The Original Anti-Chafe Balm.
There I times I’ve been called harsh. Times I’ve been called an asshole and others I’ve been called a saint. After I spotted that, I could not stop the laughter. She instantly stops: “What are you laughing at?” “The thigh glide”, I say.
OMG, she was so embarrassed.
Needless to say I went home to master my own domain, but did you guys know about this? I had no idea. I’m thinking about making it a part of my repertoire. God knows she may be onto something with some of these muggy, tropical days.
Let it be known, I was not judging her. I applaud her for knowing what she wants and needs. She has opened my eyes to a product I never knew of, and maybe something we all should know about.
